Noyze is able to put a different spin on fundamental yardie moves and realize the potential of this energetic dance form. Credits include 6 Indian music videos to date including Harbhajan Mann's "Jaandi Jaandi" from the movie "Jee Aaya Nu" and Sukhdev Sukha's "Dhola", Nessa V's "Show Me Wat Ya Got" and Hey Ocean's "Too Soon" as well as Sanctuary. Noyze is also a member and co-choreographer of Lyrical Thesis Dance Crew and Bucky Top Dancehall Crew. |

Instructor NameRamses PadillaClassesBio:Ramses Padilla was born in Matanzas province of Cuba and birthplace of Rumba in the world. As part of this musical environment, Ramses started dancing before knew how to walk. At 5 years old Ramses was already dancing in the kids’ comparza of the city and as a teenager he danced in the most important comparza of the province. Comparza is a type of dance troupe that performs Conga dancing at the Cuban carnivals. As a young man, Ramses was auditioned and selected among hundreds to be part of the first professional Rueda dance team to perform Rueda regularly on Cuban national television. The team "La Rueda de Casino," was a project of the musical group Moncada and the group performed with all the famous Cuban bands of the time, from Van Van to Manolito el Medico de la Salsa. Later Ramses became an international entertainer and worked for several years at resorts in Varadero. Ramses moved to Vancouver in the early 2000s and created the first annual international Cuban dance event in North America, called "Cuba Baila!" which ran for five consecutive years.

His humble beginnings started his talented dance career at the age of 13. Growing up in Vancouver, BC has exposed him to what the arts have to offer. He has trained in Hip-Hop, Popping, Waving, Locking, Krumping, Oldschool, Jazz, Contemporary, House & Stage. He has travelled to Los Angeles to train at The Millennium Dance Complex, Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio and the EDGE Performing Arts Center. Recent work includes: "Kickin' It Old School", "Center Stage 2", "Fantastic Four 2", "Another Cinderella Story 2", "Spectacular", "Psych (American Duos)", "Kyle XY", "Eureka" & more. He has performed at events such as: "For The Luv Of It", "Canadian Hip-Hop Championships", Opening for "Fabolous", "Jayme Armstrong" stage performance, & more. Kyle's desire is to motivate and inspire others to better themselves in their artistic fields & to see the passion that people put into their own creative interpretation. |

Instructor NameSetareh ClassesBio:Setareh is an experienced instructor of BellyFit, Middle Eastern dancing, yoga, meditation, and holistic healing. She has been teaching classes and workshops in Canada, Europe, and Middle East for more than eight years. Setareh was trained with some of the most influential teachers such as Yogi Bhajan, Gurumuk, Padma, Alice Bracegirdle and Banafsheh Sayyad. She teaches various styles including BellyFit, Kundalini Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Family Yoga, and Yoga Chakra Dance. Setareh loves to inspire people to reach their fullest potential and optimum well-being.

Bio:Owner and Director of Ammara Dance Lisa cannot remember a time when she did not dance. Starting at the age of 4, Lisa has been a student of dance, music and art. Her journey has taken her through the worlds of tap, ballet, jazz, various types of folk dance, theater, and music. Winning many awards as a young dancer, Lisa's life revolved around being on stage. Whether a theater production, musical performance or a dance recital, Lisa was always somewhere under the stage light. Lisa left dance and music behind for a time in favor of the written word and completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in English at the University of Victoria. Lisa moved to Vancouver and began a long and successful career in Sales, Marketing and Business Management. Lisa never let go of her love of the Arts, even though her business career occupied all her time. Seeking respite from a busy schedule, on a whim, she signed up for a Belly Dance class with Venus Bellydance. This was the beginning of an amazing education and the unexpected beginning of a new passion. Lisa studied intensively with and taught with Venus Bellydance while continuing to pursue her career in business. During this time, Lisa came together with fellow students and teachers to form Ala Nar, Middle Eastern performance troupe. Under Venus’s mentorship, Lisa had the opportunity to study at home and abroad with many teachers such as Jillina, Amir Thaleb, Sahra Saida, and Tamra-Henna, and the amazing opportunity to dance on stage at the Commadore Ballroom with the Bellydance Superstars. Lisa was also chosen by Venus to appear as a “demonstration dancer” for Channel M production “Bellydance Workout”. In the spring of 2008, Lisa left the corporate world behind and found a way to use her business acumen in the world of performing Arts. As the Owner and Director of Ammara Dance Company, Lisa is thrilled to be able to combine her business skills and her love of dance and music. Providing a space for others to learn and share their music and dance culture and knowledge is a dream come true. Lisa continues to study Belly Dance at every opportunity, as well as perform with Ala Nar, teach, and explore new types of dance and music. |

Instructor NameJulio "Rasta" MonteiroClassesBio:Rasta has been a member of Group Abada, one of the largest Capoeira organizations in the world, for more than 12 years and has been teaching since 1999. Rasta brings to his classes the energy and spirit of Capoeira from Bahia Brazil, his birthplace and the birthplace of Capoeira. Rasta was influenced from a very young age to play capoeira, by his father’s best friend Mestre "Boa Gente" It was meant to be that Rasta would become a capoeirista. He was never a shy kid, and he would play with his cousins in the house's backyard and later show his movements in class. He always loved to help and teach other kids how to play Capoeira - that is why he became a teacher. Rasta has mostly trained capoeira in the streets and beaches of Bahia with his friends and in Government funded projects such as "Sudesb" and "Fonta Nova". He has also trained with Abada Capoeira. Because he understands how hard it is for parents to afford out of school activities, his dream is to some day have a capoeira project where children of any age can learn this amazing sport for free. He welcomes capoeira students of all levels. Feel free to come to class and play. Always positive! Rasta energy!

Instructor NameBernard FernandesClassesBio:Originator of the bands "Sweet Pan" and "Carib X Press", Bernard also performs as a solo artist on steel drums, piano, vocals and guitar. He has arranged for and/or lead La Tripical, Karib Brass, Cinnamon, Fernandes & Co., and Panarimba. Finishing his music degree in 1992, Bernard makes his living teaching, making and composing music.
